Alliance of Civilizations
WELLCOME
Nexos “A Collective Effort”. With this motto the idea for the Nexos project and later the Nexos-Alianza Association was born. Indeed, it has been a collective effort what I’m going to summarize in the following letter.
Since the moment in December 2004 when the Spanish Government, in the person of its President José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, proposed the initiative of the Alliance of Civilizations at the United Nations that was co-sponsored by the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and was later endorsed by Kofi Annan as Secretary-General of the United Nations, the idea of Nexos was already brewing as a way to popularize this initiative in order to reach the people in the street, the politicians, the religious leaders, the scholars... what experts and intellectual where lecturing in forums, conferences, seminars, courses, meetings... etc.
We believed that using the tools of the new technology, we could deliver all those ideas to the people, to the citizens using their language, providing knowledge and therefore understanding, through the most common means used in their daily lives.
Nexos-Alliance evolves and grows as the Alliance of Civilizations does, and that is the reason for its creation, to support the Alliance, disseminate their ideas and premises with all the support that could add to achieving those goals. The future is now.

En este espacio se trata de condensar todas las Noticias, y diferentes tipos de Información que tenga relación con la mujer y su contribución a la Alianza de Civilizaciones.
Se celebró en Kairaouan (Túnez) 2-4 Junio 2009 la Conferencia Internacional para el dialogo de civilizaciones y diversidad cultural, patrocinada por la Organización Internacional de la Francofonía, Gobierno de Túnez e ISESCO (Organización Islámica para la Educación las Ciencias y la Cultura.) www.isesco.org.ma
